Two juveniles were shot in Aurora on Friday afternoon and one, a 12-year-old boy, has died, police said.
UPDATE: It is now known that both victims are juvenile males. Detectives from our Major Crimes Unit are on scene conducting the investigation. Initial information is that shots were fired from a silver Acura sedan that then immediately left the scene. Updates will be here.

The shooting happened in the 900 block of North Zion Street, police said in a 3:27 p.m. tweet. The area is near several medical and health campuses, including the Children’s Colorado Health Pavilion. The shooting happened at about 3 p.m.
Aurora police initially reported an adult and a juvenile were shot, but they later stated it had been determined both victims were juvenile males.
At 6:51 p.m. police announced that the 12-year-old shooting victim had died. The other victim, a 14-year-old male, remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
Major Crimes Unit investigators are working on developing information on the shooting suspect, but police announced on Twitter that initial information indicates the shots were fired from a silver Acura sedan that immediately left the scene after the shooting.
