Tuesday will be hot with a slight chance of rain

After a hot and hazy start to the week, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of about 86 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible later this afternoon, the weather service said. Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of about 52 degrees.

The chance for precipitation will remain possible until about midnight.

Today will be cooler than yesterday but high temperatures will still be slightly above normal. There are a few light showers in the mountains this morning and some are falling as snow. In the late afternoon and evening, storms could form over the northeast corner. #COwx pic.twitter.com/2iuyf1cEML

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s through Wednesday. Later in the week, the highs are expected to be in the 90s with partly cloudy skies and the potential for sporadic showers.
