After a hot and hazy start to the week, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of about 86 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible later this afternoon, the weather service said. Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of about 52 degrees.
The chance for precipitation will remain possible until about midnight.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s through Wednesday. Later in the week, the highs are expected to be in the 90s with partly cloudy skies and the potential for sporadic showers.
Thursday is forecast to reach a high of 94 degrees with mostly sunny conditions.
Friday and Saturday are expected to bring slightly hotter, partly cloudy weather to the metro area.
