Denver will have a sunny and windy day Tuesday before a small storm system brings light snow to Denver Wednesday.
Tuesday’s high temperature is 56 degrees, and as the temperature rises through the day, so will the wind. It’ll start at about seven to 12 mph, then increase to up to 21 mph in the afternoon, with gusts nearing 30 mph possible in Denver. Some of the foothills could see up to 70 mph gusts.

Snow is falling in the mountains, with the highest accumulations of four to six inches near the Gore and Park Ranges possible in the morning. The snow will decrease by Tuesday afternoon.
Overnight Tuesday, clouds will increase in Denver as the storm system moves into the area. The low is 27 degrees with winds of about eight to ten mph. Gusts could reach 15 mph overnight.
Another three to six inches of accumulation are possible in the northern mountains, but Denver and most of the Interstate 25 Corridor will most likely escape most of the snow as the system moves through the area quickly. Warmer temperatures across the urban corridor will also limit snow sticking to the ground and any travel impacts.
Thursday and Friday will see temperatures return to the 50s.
