Sunday Dare forgives Nigeria Basketball after Musa Kida’s apology

The minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare has forgiven the Nigeria Basketball after the president Engineer Musa Kida tendered an apology to the ministry.

Recall the Federal government through the ministry withdrew Nigeria’s participation from all international competitions.

In a move that led to the Nigeria female basketball team, D’Tigress losing the tickets to the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup to Mali.

According to the statement released by the ministry in May, the ban was placed on the sport over the unending crisis which has plagued Nigeria’s basketball.

“Following the unending crisis which have plagued and nearly crippled the development of basketball in Nigeria, President Buhari has approved the withdrawal of Nigeria from all international basketball competitions for a period of two years.

“This is with immediate effect,” he said.

The crisis has suddenly been resolved and everything is back to normal after Musa Kida’s apology according to the statement released today and signed by the ministry Permanent Secretary, Ismaila Abubakar.

“The Nigeria Basketball NBBF President, Musa Kida in a letter of Appeal has apologized to the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare over the embarrassment the stakeholders have caused the game in Nigeria forcing the Federal Government to withdraw basketball from all international tournaments for two years.”

The big question is what happens to the lost tickets to Mali? Nigeria defeated France, and Mali to pick a ticket to FIBA Women’s World Cup slated for September in Belgrade but have now been replaced by Mali following the ban.

Now, that the ban has been lifted, what happens?
