Scattered showers possible Tuesday afternoon

Tuesday will see slightly cooler temperatures than Monday.

Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms could roll through the area Tuesday afternoon, but the showers will mostly be in the mountains and Palmer Divide south of Denver.

The showers will only bring brief rain, with almost no flood threats, and winds gusts up to 35 mph.

The day will be partly sunny overall with a high of 80 degrees, and a storm development will likely happen between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The evening will be cool with a low of 51 degrees and more cloudy, even if showers don’t develop.

Wednesday is still forecast to be dry and sunny, with a high of 81 degrees, and slight rain chances return Thursday.

Friday will see the highest rain possibility with a 40% chance between noon and 7 p.m. Saturday will also have some rain chances as the cold front drops high temperatures down to 72 degrees.
