Ronaldo outshines Messi in Saudi friendly as Ighalo watches on

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the man of the match at the King Fahd International Stadium after a Saudi select lost 4-5 to Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly game on Thursday.

The Portuguese superstar shone brighter amongst other superstars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar Jr. who were also on the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo showed no signs of match rustiness as he scored two amazing goals to help the Saudi select which comprised of players from Al Nasr, and Al Hillal put up a good fight.

The last time Cristiano Ronaldo played was on Dec 10th, 2022 in a World Cup quarterfinal clash between Portugal and Morocco.

Despite his lack of game time in more than 30 days, he scored the first two goals for the Saudi select including a powerful shot to keep the scoreline 2-2 going into the half-time break.

Cristiano scored two goals before he was substituted in the 61st minute, Lionel Messi scored, and Kylian Mbappe both scored one each before they were subbed out in the 62nd minute.

Neymar failed to put his name on the scorer’s sheet before he was subbed out in the 62 minutes, he could have scored a penalty but he missed from the 12-yard.

In the end, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who got the player of the match award. Odion Ighalo who has 8 league goals this season in the Saudi league was an unused sub.
