Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers signed a one-year, $2.7 million contract with the club Friday, avoiding arbitration.
Rodgers, 26, who won a Gold Glove last season, was arbitration-eligible for the first time.
The Rockies have now reached an agreement with all of their arbitration-eligible players. Earlier this week, left-handed starter Austin Gomber signed for $1.65 million.
The Rockies locked up three players in November, giving right-handed reliever Tyler Kinley a three-year, $6.25 million contract, righty reliever Dinelson Lamet a one-year, $5 million contract, and lefty reliever Brent Suter a one-year, $3 million deal.
The New York Post’s Jon Heyman was the first to report the terms of Rodgers’ contract.
