Freezing temperatures and snow accompanying a cold front hitting the Colorado has caused several road closures near the Wyoming border.
U.S. 85 southbound and northbound are closed between County Road 80 near Ault and the Wyoming border, as of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Safety concerns, including adverse driving conditions and low-to-no visibility, are cited by the Colorado Dept. of Transportation as the reason.
U.S. 287 northbound is also closed between Colorado 14 and the Wyoming border due to safety concerns, as of 5:30 p.m. The department warns to expect delays.
Interstate 25 southbound is closed between Colorado 1 and the Wyoming border due to adverse conditions — specifically from Wellington Exit 278 to the state line.
This is a developing story.
