” Naija Boy ” the caption Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis uploaded his first training pictures with on Social media on Wednesday before his first interview as a Forest player.
Dennis last week joined Nottingham Forest from Watford Fc and will hopefully get his debut on Saturday August 20 when they travel to play Everton in the English Premier League .
The Super Eagle after training had his first interview as a Forest Player , eulogizing the Ronaldinho effect on his decision to play football professionally , his relationship with compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi and other personal details about his Career.
Having watched from the stands as Taiwo Awoniyi scored the winner for Forest in the home game vs West Ham last weekend, Dennis expressed his love for the energy of the Forest fans at the City Ground .
“I’m waiting for the day to play [at The CityGround] for the first time and the supporters have a lot of energy, which I like.” Dennis told Forest Tv .
Forest next game at the City Ground will be against Tottenham Hotspur on August 28 .
Born and bred in Nigeria , Dennis however began his professional football career in Ukraine before moving to Belgium, Germany from where he joined Watford Fc in the English Premier League last year .
” I started playing football professionally in Ukraine with Zorya , before then I went to football school in Nigeria . ” He told Forest Tv .
Dennis scored 10 goals in the English Premier League for Watford Fc last season . When asked on his goal and assist target for the season with Forest , the Nigerian forward gave a ‘No’ response.
” I don’t really have targets for the season. I just go play . ” He said to back his earlier comments about loving to get on the turf to have fun and entertain fans like role model Ronaldinho who he said is the reason why he is a Footballer .
Settling into life at Nottingham Forest shouldn’t be too challenging for Dennis with the prescence of Taiwo Awoniyi who he has known since he was 14 .
” Its gonna be lovely playing together again. I have known him (Taiwo) since I was 14 . That’s a long time . ” Dennis stated .
