Mourners continued to gather together two days after a gunman opened fire inside Club Q in Colorado Springs. The shooting claimed the lives of five people and left 18 wounded.
By the early afternoon on Monday hundreds of flowers, balloons, notes and other remembrances had been left outside Club Q. In Denver, hundreds gathered for an interfaith vigil.
Colorado Springs police announced the arrest of a suspect on suspicion of five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of bias-motivated crimes causing bodily injury, court records show. Club Q is a gay nightclub. Officials also identified the two club patrons who disarmed the shooter.
