A man using a walker who was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle has died and Wheat Ridge police are looking for the driver.

The incident happened Thursday night on Kipling Street near West 41st Avenue, police said. The 56-year-old man was using a walker when he fell into the street and was hit by a vehicle. The driver did not stop. The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
On Saturday police announced the man’s death.
The vehicle is described as a blue or teal sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Cruze. Anyone with information on the incident, the vehicle, or the driver is urged to call police at 303-980-7300.
