The incident happened at about 6 a.m. at Pecos Street and West 72nd Avenue, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old Northglenn man, was crossing the intersection outside of the cross walk when he was hit, said Trooper Josh Lewis. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
