A pedestrian was hit by a motorist on West Colfax Avenue in Denver on Saturday, police said.

The incident happened at Colfax and Perry Street, police said in an 11:16 a.m. Saturday tweet.
The pedestrian suffered “serious” injuries, police said. Drivers in the area should expect traffic delays. An investigation is ongoing.
