Nigeria Super Eagles Head coach Jose Paseiro has invited Cyril Dessers and Chidozie Awaziem as replacements for injured Victor Osimhen and Olisa Ndah in his squad for the friendly game vs Portugal on November 17.
In-form forward Victor Osimhen reportedly sustained injury in action for Serie A table toppers Napoli last weekend and will be replaced by Cremonese forward Cyril Dessers.
Olisa Ndah missed Orlando Pirates’s Nedbank cup semi-final and final games last weekend as he battled for fitness to take his opportunity to get back with the national team.
Due to the injury, Ndah’s first national team call-up since the 2021 AFCON will not add to his international cap as Hadjuk Split defender Chidozie Awaziem will take his place on the squad.
Both teams will take to the turf for the friendly game with different interests.
For Jose Paseiro and his Eagles, the game against Portugal will afford them another opportunity to prepare for future engagements .
For Portugal, it is their final warm-up game ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup which kicks off on November 20, 2022.
Kick-off for the Portugal Vs Nigeria friendly game is 7:45 pm Nigerian time at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon Portugal on November 17, 2022.
