One killed, two wounded in shooting at Adams County house party

One person was killed and two others wounded in a shooting at a house party in Adams County early Sunday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

The shooting was reported through a 911 call at a home in the 100 block of E. 70th Avenue, the sheriff’s office said in a statement at 4:25 a.m.

Officers arrived to find three people shot. Two victims were taken by ambulance to hospitals, where one died. The third person who was shot was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released, according to the sheriff’s office.

A spokesman for the office did not immediately return a request for more information about the attack and it was not clear Sunday how the shooting unfolded. The victims have not been publicly identified.

The shooting happened several miles away from a shooting last weekend at a house party in Adams County that killed one person and wounded seven. It is not clear if the two shootings are related.
