One person is hospitalized and a section of Colfax Avenue in Aurora is closed following a shooting on an RTD bus involving police officers Sunday evening, according to Aurora police.
At 6:46 p.m., police tweeted that police fired shots in the area of Colfax and Moline Street and one person was sent to the hospital. In an update, Aurora police said the shooting took place on an RTD bus and “the suspect was the only person injured.” Their condition is currently unknown.

All lanes on Colfax Avenue between Mason and Oswego streets are closed amid the investigation, according to police.
The 17th Judicial critical incident response team will lead the investigation, according to Aurora police.
