Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez was sent off for headbutting Joachim Anderson as Liverpool FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace at Anfield .
Nunez saw red early in the second half with Liverpool trailing 0-1 on his home debut courtesy of Wilfred Zaha’s 31st minute strike .
Luiz Diaz produced a moment of magic in the 61st minute to blast home the equalizer for 10 man Liverpool who could not find a way past Palace in yet another disappointing game for Jurgen Klopp’s men .
The Reds had kicked off the season with a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage and we’re tipped to defeat Palace for their first win of the season but it was not meant to be .
Zaha gave Crystal Palace the lead in the 31st minute to suck life out of Liverpool who were unlucky not to have scored earlier .
Luiz Diaz struck in the equalizer in the 64 minute , but despite the push for a winner by Liverpool , Palace held on for a draw at Anfield .
Liverpool have thus recorded two points from it’s first two games with all eyes on the Reds as they settle into life without Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane .
