Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face hosts Morocco in the Semi Final of the ongoing 2022 Womens Africa Cup of Nations .
The match will hold on Monday 18th July 2022 by 9pm (Nigerian Time ) . To reach this stage, Nigeria gathered 6 points to finish 2nd in Group C. The Super Falcons then continued their dominance over arch rivals Cameroon with a 1-0 Quater Final win on Thursday night.
The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco on their part finished top of Group A with three wins from three games before a hard fought 2-1 Quater Final victory over Botswana on Wednesday night to reach the last four.
On paper , 9 times Womens Africa Cup of Nations winners Nigeria will be favorites to emerge victorious in the Semi Final but Morocco have proven a worthy host who have done enough to earn a first ever FIFA Womens World Cup and could disrupt Nigeria’s hopes of a title defense in Morocco.
South Africa will face Zambia in the other Semi Final . Both teams are unbeaten in the competition to this stage and will kickstart Semi Final hostilities by 6pm on Monday 18th July 2022 .
All Four Semi finalists will represent Africa at the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup .
