Okafor applied the final touch to Adamu’s cross in the Chelsea box to beat a fully stretched Kepa Arrizabalaga and force a share of the spoils at Stamford Bridge .

Six games in a row. Incredibly prolific run for the 22 year old who once dreamt of representing his fatherland Nigeria at full International level .

In 2018 , Okafor according to a report via SportingLife dreamt of representing the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the footsteps of his idols Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay Okocha , but that never happened untill Switzerland knocked on his door.

” Everybody wants to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria especially after watching Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay Okocha who are my idols while growing up, ”

” It will surely be a dream come true. I also have a family in Nigeria and they will be happy seeing me represent Nigeria. ” Noah Okafor stated during an interview in February 2018 .

At the time, Noah Okafor was only 17 years old and his advances did not attract a Super Eagles call-up from then Nigerian National team handler Genot Rohr .

A lot has changed since them . Okafor has played 8 times already for the Switzerland National team and will hope to make the 2022 World Cup spot with his performances for Austrian giants RB Salzburg .

Born to a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother , Okafor is no longer eligible for the Super Eagles but will rather pursue international success with his country of birth .
