The brother of a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting deaths of four people, including three members of the same family, has been arrested, according to Aurora police.
Joseph Mario Castorena, 21, who remains at large, allegedly killed four victims in a domestic violence incident on Oct. 30, according to police.
On Friday, officers arrested 18-year-old Juan Angel Castorena in Denver near West Belleview Avenue and South Federal Boulevard. The younger brother is being investigated for accessory to first-degree murder after the fact, police said.
“At this time, there is no evidence indicating Juan was involved in the shootings,” a Friday news release said.
Killed in an overnight shooting in a home near East 10th Avenue and Geneva Street were: Jesus Serrano, 51; Maria Anita Serrano, 22; Kenneth Eugene Green Luque, 20; and 49-year-old Rudolfo Salgado Perez.
Jesus Serrano was the father of victim Maria Serrano, police said, and Kenneth Luque was Maria’s husband. Rudolfo Perez was renting space in the home.
Anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the homicide suspect is asked to call 911 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
