The winter storm brought on by a Siberian cold front has caused several road closures and canceled trips for several RTD rail lines.
7:35 a.m.: Interstate 70 eastbound is closed in Silverthorne due to safety concerns from the storm. Multiple Colorado Department of Transportation traffic cameras show tractor-trailers stalled on the roadway or the side of the road.
On the pains, Interstate 70 was also closed from Limon to Burlington near the Kansas border due to safety concerns, the roadway reopened about 7:20 a.m.
In metro Denver, the RTD has issued a systemwide alert saying they are experiencing delays due to the weather.
On specific rail lines, four A-line trains were canceled from Union Station to Denver Airport Station due to either snow or missing crew members.
The D-line, L-line and W-line have at least six trains that have been canceled due to no operators available. The L-line has 25 trains that have been canceled.
In northeast Colorado, several highways are also closed.
U.S. 6 is closed from Sterling to the Nebraska border.
U.S. 385 is closed from Holyoke to Julesburg.
Colo. 59 is closed from Interstate 76 near Sedgwick to Yuma.
Colo. 113 is closed from U.S. 138 to the Nebraska border.
Colo. 14 is closed from N. 10th Avenue to Sterling and County Road 33 near Ault.
Colo. 61 is closed from Ault to Sterling.
