Denver residents should expect a hot and sunny day Friday as the weather heats up even more leading into the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
Sunny skies are expected with a high of 94 degrees, as winds blow between 5 and 10 mph, gusting as high as 16 mph.
The weather service warned that hot and dry conditions could elevate fire concerns, cautioning residents.

Saturday is expected to heat up to a high of 97 degrees, with winds reaching 5 to 11 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. A 10% chance of rain is forecast for the afternoon.
A slight chance of thunderstorms will come to Denver on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, which is forecast to reach a high of 94 degrees.
Monday is expected to continue the warming trend, reaching 97 degrees under the hot sun before dropping to a high of 84 degrees on Tuesday.
