Five art pieces, valued at more than $400,000, were stolen from a parked and locked truck in Boulder and police are asking for the public’s help in the case.
The high-end art theft happened overnight on Dec. 14 outside a hotel in the 5300 block of South Boulder Road, according to a Boulder news release.

The thief, or thieves, cut a padlock to gain entry into the truck, which was transporting artwork across the country and was parked overnight, the release said. Tools were also stolen from the truck.
Among the five pieces valued at more than $400,000 are two Taos Pueblo paintings, one by Joseph Henry Sharp and the other by Eanger Irving Couse.
