Mercedes has unveiled the first official photo of the interior of the new Mercedes EQE SUV. And there is no surprise because the dashboard is similar to that of the EQS SUV.
Mercedes has released the first official photo of the interior of the new Mercedes EQE SUV. As expected, the dashboard is identical to that of the EQS SUV. Unlike the EQS SUV, however, the dashboard with the huge Hyperscreen will be optional on all versions. The standard configuration comes with the 12.8 inch portrait screen know from the S-Class.
The similarities go down to the smallest details and here we mention the two vents on the outside of the dashboard that have a turbine design, while the central ones are thin and hidden in the upper part of the dashboard.
As with the EQS SUV, the Hyperscreen appears to be free standing and extends very little at the ends on the door panels and does not merge with the mid tunnel in the central part.In the photo shown by Mercedes, the balao brown leather upholstery on the seats and mid-tunnel blends with the neva grey on the door panels, lower part of the dashboard and the rest of the mid-tunnel. Elsewhere, we find the EQE/EQS steering wheel but also the traditional haptic feedback controls for the seats located in the upper part of the door.
The Mercedes EQE SUV will make its world premiere on 16 October 2022 and sales will start in 2023. With the unveiling of the EQE SUV, Mercedes has delivered on its promise to launch all four luxury electric models – EQS, EQS SUV, EQE and EQE SUV by the end of 2022.
Mercedes has not yet announced anything about the powertrain versions but we expect the EQE SUV to take over the EQE’s powertrain and battery, which means the EQE SUV will use the 90 kWh battery, with the larger 107.2 kWh battery remaining reserved for the EQS/EQS SUV.
