Thursday night’s snowfall is impacting Denver’s morning commute. Several roads across the area are closed or partially closed due to crashes and hazards.
Sixth Avenue from Kalamath Street to Federal Boulevard is closed in both directions due to multiple “severe crashes,” the Denver Police Department tweeted about 6:20 a.m.
Central Park Boulevard is also completely shut down between East 36th Avenue and East 40th Avenue due to a multi-vehicle crash, police tweeted about 6:30 a.m.
Police advised drivers to expect delays and find alternate roads for both roads.
On highways, the Colorado Department of Transportation is reporting several partial closures.
The right lane of Interstate 76 is closed due to a crash at the Sheridan Boulevard exit (exit 1B) near Berkley. The DOT trip planner website estimates a 16-minute delay due to this crash.
The exit ramp from Interstate 25 northbound to U.S. 36 westbound is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash. DOT advises drivers to find alternate routes in the area.
