The driver of a reported stolen vehicle hit a patrol car in Arvada and then an occupied SUV on Tuesday morning, police said. The 18-year-old motorist and a 15-year-old passenger fled the second crash scene on foot before being arrested a few blocks away.

The incident unfolded at about 8:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of Sheridan Boulevard when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, police said. The driver hit a police vehicle, and the suspect vehicle headed south on Sheridan.
Officers did not pursue the vehicle, police said, and the fleeing driver’s vehicle collided with an SUV, causing the SUV to roll. Two people in the SUV, a mother and her daughter, “were not severely injured,” police said.
An 18-year-old man and his passenger, a 15-year-old girl, fled the stolen vehicle on foot, and both were arrested by officers a short distance away, police said.
The suspect vehicle had been reported stolen out of Thornton. An investigation is ongoing.
