A driver died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 in Adams County on Thursday in about the same area where a tanker truck rolled earlier in the morning.
The fatal crash happened at about 11 a.m. in the northbound lanes near 84th Avenue, said Sgt. Troy Kessler, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
The driver of a 2005 Honda Accord died at the scene, Kessler said. A child in the car was taken to a local hospital with “unknown injuries.”
The driver of the Honda rear-ended the truck, said Julie Browman, a spokeswoman with Adams County Fire Rescue.

The truck, registered in Oklahoma, was hauling liquid nitrogen, Kessler said. There was no rupture or fire involved in the collision.
The truck driver, a 60-year-old Montana man, was not injured. The two right lanes remain closed by the crash and emergency response. An investigation is ongoing.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday a tanker truck rolled on the highway in a single-vehicle crash in the same area. The truck driver was taken to a local hospital.
