HANK’S HONEYS: There are reasons to pick both teams. The Elf people have to be devastated after the Jets debacle, but getting back out there on a short week should actually be beneficial. More importantly, the Browns could be down Myles Garrett (neck) after already losing Jadeveon Clowney and Chase Winovich. That would ordinarily be devastating to a defense that had always relied on pressure up front. Luckily for them, the Mitch Trubisky-led Steelers have barely been puttering along.
Pittsburgh fans are already sounding those “bench him” demands from his dark days in Chicago. The pressure has squarely been on the Steelers defense, which has remarkably held its own with ball hawk Minkah Fitzpatrick back to his old tricks. Trubisky, however, has been very careful with the football so far and with so many three-and-outs by the offense, the Steelers D has been on the field almost 80 minutes in two games.
They can’t be happy about the short week, especially against a very physical Cleveland offense. As for the total, these teams usually play low-scoring games. This one should be no different.
