Electronic Arts is unveiling its ratings for the upcoming Madden NFL 23 game. Here’s a look at how the Broncos stack up.
Note: This story will be updated when quarterback and team ratings are released on Friday.
The stars
With Von Miller now with the Bills, safety Justin Simmons takes over as the Broncos’ best defensive player in the game entering the 2022 season with a 91 overall rating — it’s the fifth-best among NFL safeties. Whether he’s the team’s highest-rated player remains to be seen — newly acquired quarterback Russell Wilson had an initial rating of 94 in last year’s installment of Madden. Of the revealed player ratings, wide receiver Courtland Sutton has the next highest mark at 84.
The draft class
Former UCLA tight end Greg Dulcich, who was selected in the third round with the 80th overall pick, is Denver’s highest-rated rookie at 70. He’s the second-best tight end on the roster behind Albert Okwuegbunam (74). The Broncos’ top pick — outside linebacker Nik Bonitto (second round, 64th overall pick) — is next at 69.
