Colorado Avalanche at Dallas Stars NHL Odds and Predictions for October 3, 2022 – The Denver Post

The Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars meet in NHL preseason action on Monday night. As is expected, the Avalanche and Stars have not been fielding their best players in the preseason. We’ll give you a preseason betting preview for the Avalanche and Stars matchup from Dallas.

Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 P.M. ET from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. As of publication, there is no official video broadcast for this game, but you can catch this game on either team’s official radio broadcast partners.

Colorado Avalanche Preview: Don’t Worry, It’s Only Preseason

The Colorado Avalanche has had a slow start to the 2022-2023 NHL preseason, currently holding a record of 1-2-1 (W-L-OTL). However, we cannot buy too much into the Avs record as they haven’t sent a representative roster to the ice yet. Gabriel Landeskog is still recovering from injury, and none of the Avalanches’ major contributors were dressed.

With no real notable roster members in the line-up, the Colorado Avalanche lost their last match-up 7-1 to a slightly more competitive Vegas Golden Knights line-up. Newly acquired goalie Alexandar Georgiev had a bad night giving up six goals on 18 shots in two periods.

We’re expecting the Avalanche to start including the likes of Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon in preseason matchups sooner rather than later.

Dallas Stars Preview: The Jake Oettinger Show

The Dallas Stars enter Monday night’s matchup with a 2-2-0 (W-T-OTL) preseason record. Dallas has alternated between loses and wins so far in 2022. With this being a preseason game, we have no idea if any of the Dallas Stars’ major contributors will be in the lineup.

In their last game, the Dallas Stars defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on October 1st, 2022. Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger is already showing regular season form, giving up two goals on 17 shots leading a team will very few regulars in the line-up to victory.

Dallas didn’t make too many significant off-season changes, so unless they are playing a different goalie or icing a more competitive line-up, Monday night could be another edition of the Jake Oettinger show.
