Say it ain’t so.
Punk-rockers Blink-182 are hitting the road in 2023 on a world tour that includes a stop in the Mile High City. The trio comes to Denver’s Ball Arena on July 3 with punk band Turnstile. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
Blink-182 comes to the home of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team about a year after its Stanley Cup win. The band has been inducted into the team’s extended hockey family since singing its 1999 hit “All the Small Things” became a beloved tradition at home games.
Fans had speculated bassist/singer Mark Hoppus, drummer Travis Barker and guitarist/singer Tom DeLonge might show at the Stanley Cup celebration parade in June after the band tweeted a congratulations to the Avs. They did not – Barker suffered a medical emergency around the same time – but the 2023 concert will likely include a nod to the title. (Or at least we hope!)
Excited already? Blink-182 is due to drop a new song, entitled “Edging,” on Friday.
