Bayelsa Queens have booked a place in the final of the WAFU Zone B’ CAF Women Champions League Qualifiers after a comfortable 6-0 win against Espoir Ladies in Yamoussoukro on Wednesday.
The Nigerian women’s champions overpowered the Beninoise champions scoring a goal in the first half and adding five more in the second half.
Chinyere Igbomalu, Kafayat Bashiru, Glory Edet, Etim Edidiong, Chinyere Igbomalu, and Mary Anjor scored the goals for the prosperity girls.
Bayelsa Queens will now play Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies F.C. in the final in a repeat of what played out in the group stages.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies F.C defeated Ivory Coast’s Africa Sport women in their semifinal 6-5 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 during the normal regulations.
The game between Bayelsa Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies F.C. ended goalless when both teams played on the group stage.
