Middlesbrough in-form striker Chuba Akpom has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for December.
The striker has enjoyed a productive spell in the league scoring goals consistently for Michael Carrick’s team.
He scored four goals in December including a hat-trick against Wigan on Boxing Day.
He was also on target in the 2-1 win over Luton Town.
Akpom will battle it out with Sheffield United’s Illiman Ndiaye, Swansea’s Joel Piroe and West Brom’s Alex Palmer.
The 27-year-old has scored 13 goals in 19 Championship appearances for Middlesbrough this season.
Akpom and his Middlesbrough teammates will welcome Milwall to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
