Aisisat Oshoala begs Amaju Pinnick to continue as NFF President.

Super Falcons were hosted by NFF President Amaju Pinnick on Sunday prior to their departure for the WAFCON in Morroco .

According to a report by 234Football ,  Barcelona star Aisisat Oshoala in her speech at the event held at the Ekô Hotel begged Mr Amaju Pinnick to continue as NFF President beyond the September 2022 expiration of his current term.

Oshoala said  “President (Pinnick) has done so much for us as a team if we want to be honest with ourselves,” began the Barca star.

“ I remember when I was at Arsenal Ladies a couple of years ago, my teammates were always going home for international friendlies whenever there were FIFA windows. But I was always staying back, training alone because there was nothing back home.

” It is no longer so and we don’t want this new development to stop for Falcons players to go back to starting line again. I think we are following through the right path and want this to continue. ” The former Super Falcons skipper concluded.

Current Skipper Onome Ebi in her speech adopted Oshoala’s thoughts . “We want to beg you not to leave us now because if you leave us, we are going to start all over again as my teammate (Oshoala) has spoken. We want you to think about this and how your continued stay will help the team.”

In March, Mr Pinnick had announced his decision not to vie for a 3rd term In office as NFF President at the September 2022 elective congress citing a ” Family decision ” as reason for his decision.

With his tenure expiring in three months , CAF President Mr Motsepe was the first to suggest Amaju Pinnick should reconsider his decision when he was in Nigeria for the CAF Confederation Cup Final in Uyo .

Findings by SportsRation reveal the Delta state born sports administrator could still rescind his decision and seek a 3rd term if it gathers the support of major stakeholders and congressmen.

Oshoala and her Super Falcons teammates will kickstart their 2022 WAFCON campaign vs South Africa on the 4th of July 2022.
